The dressed stone exterior of the house and wrap-around porch are typical of Edwardian style with less ornamentation than earlier Victorian. The home was purchased in 1945 by the Idarado Mining Company. The mining company renovated it in 1995 and it remains in excellent condition. The present owner has restored many of the early characteristics of the home while rretaining its historic character and making it a comfortable house.
